Obviously, it would be a case of the Democrats making history, yet again, with Hillary being the first Woman in the Oval Office.
Clearly, she's not going to declare too soon for a couple of reasons. It would first make President Obama seem more like a lame duck when she does, and that won't benefit the country. But perhaps more strategically, it keeps the Republicans from mounting some sort of smear campaign against her, which they would run until November 2016.
It's possible she won't run, but all signs have been very seriously pointing towards her getting a campaign going.
