One of the things I need to do more of and have promised to do more of and will do more of is photo posts. I remember when photo posts HAD to be under a cut because the bandwidth would really slow down scrolling the friends page. I don't *think* that's an issue any more, but I'll still post under a cut for multi image entries.
Today was supposed to be a really big juggling day for me, but that's not what happened. Bryant Park had just hosted the final Monday Night Movie on the lawn for the summer, "Back to the Future." so we were not going to be on the lawn, and I knew that before I even arrived.
But, as it turned out, a regulation size Tennis Court was set up right on the lawn, at the opposite end of the movie screen, or right by where the jugglers normally congregate, complete with a mini bleachers for invited viewers to sit. As Grand Slam fans would certainly know, next week is the start of the final Major event in the Tennis world for the year: The US Open, held annually at Flushing Meadows Park's famed Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Queens.
This was really a promotion for Tommy Hilfiger, who is using Champion Rafael Nadal in a new series of ads for his new line of underwear. If you haven't seen them yet, or the bare-chested Nadal standing in his spanking brand new Tommy underpants, you surely will during the next two weeks, if you tune in for the tourney: hence the hashtag - #TommyxNadal.
Let's get to the pictures. Please click for a larger version.

I was wondering why Nadal was playing in a suit and everyone was in jackets/sweaters.
It turns out they were playing "Strip Tennis." Lose a point and lose some apparel.

Nadal lost a point and here is taking off a wrist band!

Your chair umpire for the match and host of the proceedings,
A gleeful Sue Sylvester in a track suit... Jane Lynch!

I felt like a paparazzo snapping this shot of Designer Tommy Hilfiger.

Even though CBS has the rights to broadcast the US Open,
Savannah Guthrie of NBC's "Today" was there for a Rafa chat.

And the martini, Nadal, fully clothed again, does the Today talk.
