Jan. 24th, 2009 07:59 pmI know this is impossible, but what if Amazon and YouTube somehow met on the internet, liked each other, got hot and heavy, totally hooked up, and had a baby. The result might look something like Honeyshed.com, a website that features fun and funny products and presents them with even more fun and funny video clips that are at least as entertaining as the items themselves!
They have a regular cast of characters that present the products (but in a much more natural and conversational way than those people on QVC or HSN would ever be capable of doing). There are interesting, useful and unique products from clothing to cosmetics, from software to hardware and the prices really aren't bad. But there's more!
If you create an account on the site, you can create a "wish list" which on Honeyshed is known as a "Stash." And every now and again they have a promotion where you can win an item from your stash! This is not a scam; I know because I got the Honeyshed Hookup! Today in my mailbox I got the Flip Video Mino Camcorder from my stash! It's way cool because it's tiny and handy. Good for smuggling into a concert to get some stealth shots of a band you like, or some impromptu comedy fun thing at a gathering of friends. I might start needing to post videos now that I have it.
